hello all,
i saw an advertisement on television for a product named huricane mop for cleaning the floors without having to use the broom. as it looks like this product comes from america and none of my friends here in israel uses it, i wonder if anyone here knows this thing and could tell me if it's worth buying.

Its a mop, does it really need to be improved upon? Its a rag with a handle.
And, by rule, anything advertised on those "as seen on tv" things, don't work.
They're marketed to get you to pay money for bad products, that's all. Just use
a mop. Or if you really want it to be clean, get a towel and some kneepads and
wash it by hand. That's what I do.
Mops like Hurricane or Twist and shout come with their own bucket that has a spinner in it. You dip the mop in the water, put it in the spinner and them push down on the handle, causing it to spin and wring itself out. The mop strands are micro-fiber. I have the Twist and shout, and love it. They can be used as a wet mop or as a dust mop. do a youtube search on either product. A lady named Rachel did a really good video where she reviewed a bunch of different models side by side. She explains what's happening so you can follow along pretty easily.
Just to play devil's advocate here. I can do the exact same thing with my sink
and my hand. And I don't have to pay extra for those two things, nor do I have
to find a place to store it, or worry about knocking it over, or figure out where to
dump the water out afterwards. One mop, any type you like, and one hand,
standard issue. Cheap and effective.
Also, if you get down and do it by hand, assuming you're blind, you can make
sure you've gotten every nook. You can get up under the cabinets, get into the
corners. I even wash each tile individually so I know that I've washed literally
every inch of the floor. It takes longer, but I know my floor is spotless.
well, i usually never listen to those channels that sells products on tv even though i love watching it for unknown reason. i'll try to find the vidio on youtube, but i'll be thankful if you could post a link to it.

thanks. i found the vidio on youtube and it was really nice to watch because everything was explained as you said. unfortunately it looks like the huricane mop is the worst and i think it's the only one available here.
